Unless you have nine lives to waste worrying, come and talk to me about how you can resolve your contractual disputes
Building and Construction – Civil and Residential
I worked alongside my husband in our interesting and adventurous civil construction business for fifteen years. The company successfully completed hundreds of both small and large civil construction projects in metropolitan Adelaide, and regional and remote South Australia before branching out to the eastern states from as far south as Lakes Entrance in Victoria to Bamaga and Thursday Island at the northern tip of Cape York in Queensland.
The projects undertaken ranged across virtually all types of construction from earthworks for small road works, subdivisions and car parks to road and railway bridges, large sewer and water systems, pipelines, overtaking lanes, major roads and both earth and concrete dams.
My son-in-law is a carpenter/builder of residential homes and industrial sheds with experience in the private market and on mining sites in Queensland.
From this involvement, I have acquired a solid knowledge and understanding of the construction industry and inevitably have also acquired a substantial understanding of associated contract law, including sub contract.
In settling contracts with principals or contractual partners, whether they be public agencies or private companies or individuals, preference is always given to anticipating and preventing dispute occurring by analysing contract documents thoroughly before they are signed. It is at this stage of the process that negotiation is most effective.
However, if the contractual relationship does break down at any stage, we are ready, willing and able to offer superior experience and negotiation skills to resolve the breakdown.
I am also experienced in mediation should it be nominated as the preferred dispute resolution method.
